The function of the 4-way valve is to change the direction of coolant flow and switch between
Cooling mode to heating mode. .
This valve is used in HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systems to control the direction of refrigerant flow.
It has four ports:
· Gas entering from the compression pipe coming from the compressor
· Gas outlet to the condensing unit
· Suction gas inlet coming from the evaporator
· Suction gas outlet reaching the compressor
By reversing the direction of gas flow through the valve, it is possible to switch between heating and cooling modes. By changing the condensation to the indoor unit and changing the evaporation to the outdoor unit in the HVAC system.
