Freon™ HP80

Freon™ HP80

About the product

Freon™ HP81 (R-402B) refrigerant for low-temperature systems is from the chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) family and is a reliable, non-flammable alternative to R-502. Used in limited low-temperature refrigeration applications, it has an ASHRAE A1 safety classification.

and consists of R-22, R-125, R-290

Examples contain:

  • freezers
  • Food service equipment
  • transportation

  • Features and benefits
Freon™ HP80 works with existing mineral oil (MO), so older systems do not require oil replacement. However, some original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) recommend switching from mineral oil to alkylbenzene (AB) oil for optimal oil recovery. After switching to AB oil, systems may require 10-25% less refrigerant.
