Opteon™ XL55

High-performance refrigerant ideal for replacing R-410A in air conditioning and chiller systems
Many air conditioning and chiller systems use refrigerants that must be replaced due to phase-out/phase-down schedules set by regulatory mandates. Opteon™ XL55 (R-452B) refrigerant replaces R-410A—and offers the same functionality.

Opteon™ XL55 (R-452B) is an ozone-depleting potential (ODP) and global warming potential (GWP) low refrigerant based on hydrofluoroolefin (HFO). It easily adapts to R-410A designs while offering the same optimal balance of performance, thermal properties, and extremely low flammability.

Features and benefits

• Offers a combination of design compatibility and reduced compressor compression temperature compared to other R-410A alternatives such as R-32.
• Classified as low flammability (A2L), allowing for much higher coolant charges than other flammable refrigerants.
